Amazing 3d Wallpaper Biography
New Life is the seventh studio album by American recording artist Monica released on April 6, 2012. It was the singer's debut release with RCA, following the disbandment of her former label, J Records in October 2011. A musical continuation of her commercially successful 2010 album Still Standing, New LIfe is predominately a R&B album with subtle influences of pop and gospel. Originally scheduled for release in 2011, the album underwent major reconstruction after the first round of singles were released to mixed reception, both with critics and commercially.
The album features guest performances from rappers Rick Ross and Wale as well as Mary J. Blige and Brandy, who features on the single "It All Belongs to Me". Production of the album was handled by the likes of Missy Elliott, Bryan-Michael Cox, Jermaine Dupri, Lamb, Rico Love, Oak, and Salaam Remi. Monica shares credit with her cousin, producer Polow da Don, as the album's executive producer.
New Life received a mixed reception by critics, many of whom praised the vocal performances but found the material too generic and cliché-addled. Upon its release, the album debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200, and at number two on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, selling 69,000 copies. To date, it is Monica's lowest-selling album in the US.

In September 2010, Monica said that she had started work with producer Polow da Don on her upcoming seventh studio album.[1] Initially expected to be released as her fifth album on mentor Clive Davis' J Records following the March 2010 release of her commercially successful sixth album Still Standing, much of it would eventually be recorded under RCA Records after the restructuring of the RCA Music Group in October 2011 which shuttered J along with sister labels Jive and Arista.[2]
In December 2010, the singer spoke about the development of the album to Rap-Up magazine. Together she and Polow were confirmed to have worked on the bulk of the album though Monica expressed her interest in tyring “to get with one or two producers and pretty much create the meat, and then you pretty much get the rest of it done around the center of the album.”[3] Though still untitled, she hoped that as with Still Standing, determining an album title would help finding a direction on the project.[3]
